Meet a tiger among gins. Bold and sleek, prowling your palate, this cat is not for the faint of heart. With an explosion of local distilleries and brands entering the premium spirits market over recent years, we had to avoid being ‘just another gin’ when creating Moksha.
Inspired by India, crafted in New Zealand, Moksha is the spirit for free spirits. Fiercely flavourful, it challenges the conventions of traditional spirits.
We wanted an experience that would overload the senses, from sight and smell to taste and touch, just like India does. A brand that would embody the vibrancy of this wonderful country and transport customers from their everyday norms to create a stand out presence on-shelf, online and in the mouth.
A vibrant colour scheme and eastern inspired typography laid the brand’s foundational connection to India. A product story based in the Indian jungles was written, then visualised through custom illustration. Ornate detailing taking cues from local textiles and architecture completed the flexible brand system - providing visual and textural interest, especially when executed via foiling and embossing on the product and packaging.
Tomorrow have been absolutely instrumental in bringing our new brand Moksha to life. The gin market in New Zealand is a very competitive space. It was vital we partnered with a creative agency that could help us bring a truly differentiated product to market. Not only was the quality of the work outstanding, but the collaboration was exceptional - simply put, we would not be where we are today without their partnership.
